Tallinn Old Town Days is one of the big cultural events in Estonia. The event has been organized since 1982 and it signifies the beginning of summer. Tallinn Old Town Days are celebrated from the 1st of June and till the 6th of June. Squares, streets, music halls, restaurants and coffee shops are filled with celebrations and different activities during these days.

Every year Tallinn Old Town Days has a unique slogan , which is created to inspire the theme of the festival.  The motto of 2016 is “The Living Streets of the Old Town”, therefore the streets of the Old Town will be getting even more car-free. As a result it is more pleasurable to spend time and walk on the Old Town streets. This gives a chance to organize performances in the streets that were important in the Old Town’s history.

Throughout the event days, the streets are filled with people who are dressed in ancient clothes to create the atmosphere of previous decades. The visitors are welcomed to take part in this tradition: they can buy costumes from local market in Harju street which will be held throughout the event period.

Be sure to book accommodation beforehand, because the event is highly popular among the tourists all over the world. As our apartments are all located in the Old Town, they are the best choice to stay in while on vacation.
